Description: Somewhat overexposed view of the Moershel residence in Amana with fence, grape trellis and other traditional features. View was taken around 1901 when the brick addition was made to this house. The stone portion of the house (at left) was built in 1858 and was originally the home of Wilhelm Moershel (1794 - 1862) a leading figure in the Ebenezer and Amana Societies. Provenance: Purchased from Peter Hoehnle.
