Description: Small image, not mounted, of a horse drawn wagon in front of the Amana General Store. The Lauer Saal (original 1856 meeting house, no longer extant) is visible in the background. The dozen women, men and children seated on the wagon are clearly excursionists who have arrived by train. A row of picnic baskets is visible on the wagon, and one of the women is shading herself with a large umbrella. Charming, ca. 1900 view of early Amana visitors. 3 3/4 X 3.
Provenance: Purchased from Peter Hoehnle.
