Description: This is a hand colored early postcard that actually was used as such. It was sent by Carl Zimmermann to Wilhelm Moershel, who was one of the Society's traveling salesmen, care of a hotel in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on May 12, 1909. The building at right dates to c. 1860 and housed the lower grades, the building at left dates to circa 1870 and housed the upper grades. Today it is part of the Amana Heritage Museum, and houses the office of the Amana Heritage Society and the Communal Studies Association. Provenance: Purchased from Peter Hoehnle.
