The» physical body is the outward expression of that men- tal and spiritual conception. If I am what I say I am mentally, or from a ‘heartful’ point of view, I may say speaking from that angle, if I fulfilled it actually, then and there it is a! reality, but it is not a reality unless I can fulfill it whole-heartedly. This is the first and the great Com- mandment, but in a different version, ‘Thou shalt love the LORD, thy GOD, with all your heart, soul, mind and strength’——not only your heart, but all your heart, soul, mind and strength! This is the first and the great Commandment. By this the actuated expression of the Truth has been manifested. Here we are in the land -of plenty, openly expressed and manifested be- cause of the actuated expression of the Commandment being fulfilled and the Commandment of the Fulfillers, It is indeed Wonderful! Suppose we would take for consid- eration this beautiful dining room in which we are now sitting and stand- ing as an outward expression of the actuated Love of GOD in mankind fo-r the children of men. If it was merely in the Spirit and unactuated, it would still be impractical and un- profitable and good-for-nothing, but ‘ because GOD -has actuated every spoken positive word, and has ac- tually materialized them and is ma- terializing them now, your bodies _' are the. Personifiers and the Fulfill- ers of His Word, and no longer merely the ‘Spirit, or the Heart, or the Mind. This is the actuated ful- fillment of the Word as you see us sit and stand. PUTTING INTO PRACTICE THE FIRST OOMMANDMENT My Mind was out a little while ago, forging the way and paving out the way for you Personally to do something that is not merely Spirit- ual, but Tangibilating My Spirit, My Love and My Compassion for you, even as you tangibilate your love and devotion for Me, putting into practice the first and the great Com- mandment~—putting it into actual- ity, causing it to be made real, tan- gible and practical as a living real- ity; for unless I put" it into prac- The “SPOKEN WORD” tice and merely hold it metaphysi- cally, it would still be impractical and unprofitable for this Dispensa- tion. If it was good for the other, it would ‘be unprofitable for this one. Oh it is a privilege to realize the Condescension of GOD to come to the earth plane and to Tangibi1- ate Himself and Materialize Himself and to Actuate the Works of His Spirit and of His Mind and of His Love, o-f His Kindness, and of the love and devotion of mankind to Him. It is a Wonderful Thought, dear ones, to see the unfoldment of the mystery. As we say GOD is REAL . . . the REALITY of GOD'S REALNESS is manifested in outer expression manifestedly. ‘We MANI- FEST our Love and Devotion and our Kindness and Compassion and Mercy, by the outward expression of our actions. By bringing it into Materialization we can observe it plainly and show it to others. It is a privilege to realize what GOD can do and what He is Actually doing! WORK OF GOD « This Love and this Work of GOD, with the Unity of Spirit, of Mind, of Aim and of Purpose, by putting all of our energy into actual prac- tice and profitable service, every person in connection who is True and Faithful, they all will be lifted continually above depressions, lacks and wants and limitations, and we will show all of the nations of the earth how to rise above depressions and hardships and the miseries the millions have been undergoing. These Thoughts are well Worth -' consider- ing. It is True GOD Loves you—- EIVERY ONE! GOD, wheresoever He is, is the LOVER of your Soul—‘— not only the Lover of your Soul as men count Souls, but GOD is the Lover of the body, which is the,Tan- gibilated Soul, which is the Ma- terialized Soul, which is the PER- SONIFIED Soul. Oh it is a. privi- lege to realize it. For this cause I desire to see you physically blessed and physically fit--not only mental- ly and spiritually blessed, but phy- sically and mentally blessed and fit, that you _ might enjoy. the ,‘ actual PRESENCE‘ of GOD in reality, and manifest it in your bodies. Tuesday, February 2nd, 1937. _ GOD IS REAL, NOT IMAGINARY You can plainly see GOD is REAL! .not anything just imaginary. Had GOD merely been imaginary, why His Teaching to you all would have been no doubt:--«well if anyth- ing happens to the body it is all right, just so your soul is all right ——but that is not all right with ME! It is not all right with Me to see anything happen to your body, be- cause I know it was something wrong with your mind, and I know as long as you are under the Banner of My Teaching and live WHOLE-. HEARTEDLY physically consecrated, your physical bodies will be physi- cally protected. If it never will be again, if it had! not heretofore been, it was at one time with one of the speakers as aforesaid. Now this last speaker, the speak- er who mentioned about the car be- ing off of the road—-he was pro- tected! It is unbelievable, ‘but he was protected! In the samelike manner last year, the year before last whichever, when another car struck a small delivery truck and shattered the truck and he came out unharmed. His body as well as his mind was in service for GOD to the best of his understanding. The phy- sical body was physically protected because the physical body was aphy- sical servant, not only for Me as a Person, but in active practical ser- vice. The PHYSICAL BODY was profitable—-not merely the heart and the mind! See the mystery? So when you come to the con- scious recognition of the Tangibil- ated PRESENCE OF GOD and His Work among you all, then and there you will see His whole Mission was to get you to see and know every- N thing was, all things are whichever, of ‘just whatsoever you are, as you are W-hich.ever——_-VISIBLE,——a'nd if you are blessed physically, or visib- ly, you are blessed mentally and spiritually. If you are not blessed physically, you are not blessed men- tally and spiritually. Some day the time will come! . . . because it has long since been declared, ‘My Spirit shall not always strive with man.’ I know they are hard sayings! I know GOD’S Ways are hard to the mortal mind, but I heard the Spirit declare——that Spirit that was deliver- ed and freed from all undesirable conditions, it caught My Message by Inspiration and sent it out in My Name by prediction~—‘All My Ways are JOY and PEACE, Hallelujah! All My Truths are Righteousness, Hallelujah! If My Truth will -in you dwell, all is well, allis well,’ . . . and again it declared: ‘In perfect ‘ PEACE I will keep‘ thee,’ whose mind is stayed on Me." Page 5 ATTACHED TO THE FUNDAMENTAL WHOLE- HEARTEDLY Your mind is not stayed on Me if you deviate in the least! If you do not agree with ME from every angle expressible, and as the last speaker said, see Me imperfectly, it is a matter of impossibility for you’ to see Me perfectly, and it is a mat-, ter of impossibility for you to be whole-heartedly attached to Me on those grounds. As far as the moral and the mortal way of expression are concerned, those conditions are concerned, it may be all right, but for your own sake, and for your own good, to overcome the physical dis- asters, it might be justifiable for you to be attached to the FUNDA- MENTAL whole-heartedly! ‘Not MY “will . . .’ the Sonship Degree declared. The Sonship Dei- gree declared. ‘Not MY will but THY Will be done,’ and wheresoever the! Sonship Degree is fulfilled, it will! The Sons-hip Degree re-declared in Words, Deeds and Actions, ‘Not MY will but THY Will be done! . .. and when this is accomplished it may be possible for your will to be lost in the Will of GOD, and GOD’S Will be your will, and your will be GOD’S. As the radio brought the message from the White House, at least from the Capitol steps this noon; yet the radio is only recog- nizable by the transmission of the message that is transmitted to it. Let GOD recognize you for your sake by you recognizing and real- izing the PERSONIFICATION of GOD, for your sake! It is an outward expres- VISIBLE EXI’RESSIO_N OF LOVE AND DEVOTION Now the children here could have no comfort and no improvements and convenience, and yet they could have been believers, and others who did live here before they came, and at all of the Extensions—they did not have them, the majority of them——but by they believing Personally, and by co- operation Personally, the actuated expression brought into outer ex- pression the comforts and conven- iences we are now enjoying for our physical bodies. This dining room is the visible expression of LOVE and DEVOTION!‘ Someone said they loved Me and here it is an out- ward expression of it. It is Tangib- . it is REAL! . . . it is COMFORTABLE! Then because I said I Love you, I mad-e it possible for it to be. So all the LOVE mixed up together materialized some- thing for the cc-mfort and convenience of us all. Now I could have said as it was, it is sufficient. I could have said this buliding as it stands is suffi- cient, but when I would come home here and find the children in that small dining room-some of them would have to eat in the kitchen and all such as that—-I could not be . I want every- body to have the same comfort and convenience I have Myself! BLESSINGS S0 FREELY GIVEN This was built not so much for what may be thought of as for the public. This is not in the city like they would have a public dining room where they are feeding lots of -the unempoyed and such as that, but this is for those who might be out here and live out here, and any- one who Wishes to come in is okay; I am not condemning that; but it was built so those of the household could have the same comfort and convenience and everything ‘as I have and as they have and would prepare for Me. I could not be satis- fied having a comfortable, nice clean bathroom, and the others not have it. As you love others, GOD Loves you! for GOD Loved you FIRST! ! It is Wonderful! The second of the Inspiring Mes- sages at the evening Banquet in the Stone Ridge Extension on January 20th, given by the GREAT HEAL- ER-—-—the only HEALER, FATHER DIVINE, brings vividly to the minds of its hearers and readers the neces- sity of casting out of one’s system every detestable tendency. In this way only can good health be per- manently attained, for all other ,measures are but temporary reliefs. During the Banquet a news broad- cast over the radio announced the critical condition of the Pope of Rome. In His Infinitely Sweet Man- ner FATHER explained the reason for the Pope's illness, and in simple logic revealed how he could be in- stantly healed by accepting of His Message as given in the Sonship Degree: ‘FATHER, forgive them for they know not what they do,’ thus casting out of his, system by cast- ing out of his mentality, all resent- ment for those whom he believes to be his enemies. It is in- deed Wonderful! But I know such is the keynote to deliverance when one gets in trouble. It is indeed Won- derful! JESUS Said it as a Sample and as an Example. All of them—— those of his so-called followers~—— would adhere to his true doctrine if they would this day all over the world with one acco-rd say to him, .as though ‘his Holiness,’ as it is I termed among them, ,‘FATHER, for- give ‘them, for they know not what they are doing and what they have ‘done,’ and if he would accept of that little key, from his misery, from the undesirable conditions of his physical system, he would be set free. This is a Message--I am convey- ing it now on the mental and spirit- ual ether. If he is in the Place to accept it, you will hear i.n the next broadcast message where he has made up his mind to forgive his enemies. Now this does not mean to say that because men and or- ganizations are enemies to each oth- er, that they are especially wrong particularly, but it is to say when one forgives the other whole-hear-t- edly, as they desire GOD to forgive them their trespasses and their debts, ‘GOD will forgive them. ‘He who covers his sins shall not prosper, but he who confess them shall have I mercy.’ ALL ACCORDING TO SPIRIT AND MIND ‘ Oh it is a privilege to realize if this Message would be accepted by the Pope of Rome, he would be heal- ed of his physical ailmen-t and would be the same as he has been for the past years he has been filling this particular office. The: age could no prohibit it. It has nothing to do with it. It is all according to the spirit and the mind. Now, how marvelous it would be if he would but accept of Me——the Message I am convey- é__, . The “SPOKEN worm” ing now—-and receive it——even say from the mental and spiritual realm as being termed from the Spirit oi GOD to him the very Mes- sage I conveyed to hundreds in Say- ville! That is why they learned to know Me—because when they would come to Me from time to‘ time and request of My Help, My Aid and Blessings from any angle whatever, I would stress the significance of casting out of your system, by cast- ing it out of your consciousness, "all prejudice, resentment, anger, jealousy and all of those detestable tendencies and characteristics, and by getting at the cause and rooting it up, the effect would wane of its own ab- normal weight, and would disappear into its nothingness from whence it came. ‘And so it was on most oc- casions. I Whilst sitting, apparently con- tinued to stress Me concerning the Tuesday,‘ February 2nd, 193?; - mystery. If he could and would but make an open confession and deny himself whole-heartedly from his angle of expression, and relax his conscious mentality enough to accept of My Message and forgive his enemies whole-heartedly, his debtors —he would be forgiven and healed completely physically as an outward expression of the Work of among them. But in the place where the majority of the so-called great men stand, in ‘that place where the majority of them stand, they are hedged around mentally and spirit- ually, professionally and otherwise, whereby it is impossible for GOD to harmoniously get to them. I-Ie~may get to them, but may not get to them harmoniously, and GOD desires to contact you harmoniously, that the reaction of such a harmonious contact might be the harmonious and desirable result, that you might be abundantly blessed. I thank you. FATHER Stresses the eedj of Perfect Agreement With HIM» I Part III “OUR FATHERS MESSAGE” AT THE BANQUET TABLE, STONE RIDGE EXTENSION, THE PROM- ISED LAND, WEDNETSDAY, JAN. 20TH, 1937 A.D.F.D. The afternoon Banquet at the Stone Ridge Mansion on -January 20th at the juncture when the third of the: series of Enlightening Messages was given by our DEAR LORD, FATHER DIVINE, was much like an evening meal in the -average family home on the eve of the departure of one of its members on some mission. But in this ‘instance it was a GREAT FAM- ILY, and the son was see-king the Advice and Blessing «of the One and Only I FATHER-—the HEAVENLY FATHER, to speed him on his way. The speaker had testified, an-d among other things said that he felt impelled to return to the Pacific Coast for the last time, he hoped, to make a final adjustment of mat- ters which he felt required his per- sonal appearance. He stated that the ‘wished to give his services entirely to his SAVI-OUR, FATHER DIVINE, but that he Wished to free himself of these things which claimed his,at- ‘ tention. The speaker also frankly ad- mitted that he did not always feel exactly the same when away ‘from ,7 the Personal Presence of GOD. For the benefit of this individual,-1‘ similar problems and experiences, GOD, in ‘.4 His Sweet Condescension, gave this‘ Inspiring little Message, that we ' might analyze our leadings so as not to be led erroneously, but to accu- . rately judge whether it is a leading I. to appease the selfish mortal mind or ;‘ the true leading of the HOLY SPIR- and all others faced with IT_ The Message is as follows: It is a Wonderful place to be’, where ‘ I you can be the same at My Personal-*4. Many other people would like to do this, that or the other, but be- cause o-f it not being possible for- them to do according to their desires, or fancies, or pleasures at times un- der My Jurisdiction or around Me, lots of times they desire to get away from right under, or ‘right around Me, because they feel that My Ways, My Ideas and My’Opini-ons are not ex- actly according to theirs and not ex- actly right. They know I am GOD, but they do not think My Ways or My Mind are "exactly right. Well, of course they have not made up in their minds yet that GOD’S Ways are right, they -have -to get it in their mind that GOD’S Ways are right. . They know I am GOD, ‘but -they think My Ways are wrong—-My Thoughts are wrong. GOD KNOWS YOUR MIND Now in this Extension, as we sit here this afternoon, there are some under the sound of My Voice, who have declared I am GOD from A to Z and all the way from ‘YOU’ to ME; yet they -do not believe we are even sitting right. Now they feel we should be sitting differently. If they‘ had the access they would want to change it. GOD KNOWS YOUR MIND! You «do not act it out where- soever you ‘do have access in My Ju- risdiction in you . . .* you do not carry it out! You do not! Oh, for a closer walk with GOD! I will -have those who will walk close after a while, and only those who shall be lost in the Will of GOD, and say as I said in the Sonship Degree" in reality: ‘Not MY will, but THY Will be done.’ Hard sayings, but yet they are true! Now it is something to -consider! I have some Faithful and Devout Followers _ . . -only some little «deviations from My Version,‘ from My Ideas and from My Opinions, are the things that hinder them, that. keep «them from being in fellowship with Me . . . keep Me from feeling like talking to them—little no-harm things-—-but two cannot walk together , except they agree, and ESPECIALLY Page 9_‘ with ME! . for this HIGH,vHON- ORED OFFICE you have placed'Me .in, I could not fill it justifiably if I would walk mentally and spiritually with you, unless you agree with Me, for it would conflict the Work and the Mission, It would throw a damp- ness o-n others under the Jurisdiction. That is the mystery, and -there are other points for consideration. . . . I have not yet revealed all of them.. CONFLICT WITH THE -SPIRIT OF THE LORD _ I often speak to the different indi- viduals; they come to Me and say. at times: ‘I would like to say some- thing’ Some of them say they have simplicit Faith in Me, substantiated Faith and unshaken Confidence, but ‘yet of course I know when I get to‘ talk to -them they will conflict My Spirit and I will conflict theirs, and‘ many times I do not like to talk with them because I know they will con-. flict My Spirit and I will theirs. I know they are not agree-‘ able with Me, and I know I am not agreeable with them. . . . My Ver- sions, My Ideas and My Opinions. I" did not say all of you here are that way, but I mean some of the children in some of the places at times, es- pecially from that point of view, they would conflict, provoke My .Spirit,, provoke Me Personally in the way of speaking -and I try to keep from run-' 1 ning in collision with them, There is no need to run in collision.with some- one if you know you are going to be. provoked, or anything of that sort, for you would like to express what you would desire to give to others, especially if you love them. I would like to express just what‘ I am expressing now, which is from that angle of expression o-f LOVE, instead of expressing anything in a. conflicting way, don’t you see? . . . although I may be bringing out points now, may be speaking in opposition to some of your versions which are. in opposition to Mine; nevertheless I am not in a close corner where you can pour out that spirit upon Me and,’ cause Me to be actually. The importance of the political ac- tivities was stressed, Miss Love Peace calling for definitions from the floor, which were intelligently answered by the students of the political classes. A reading of that part of the Righteous Government Platform en- -titled “Necessary Legislation” was feature of the evening. Mr. Star, of the Agricultural De- partment of The Promised Land, re- sponded to a call from the chair for an expression and praised FATHER to whom all praises and honor be- long, for HIS Wonderful works Mr. Honaeel, of The “S~poke~n Word” enthusiastically responded, speaking of the great flood and of how it was revealed to him that the suffering ’ and -devastation was caused by prej- udice» in the minds of the people, this being the Judgment Day of the LORD, comparing it to the days of Noah, When it rained forty -days and forty nights. It is Wonderful. Mr. Michael, who just had arrived from Miami, Florida, told the assem- bly of having resigned from a job with the Railroad Company-where ho had been employed for morethan fif- teen years, this resignation coming forth as a protest to the Pension en- forcement to which he was being sub- jected, contrary to FATI-IER’S teach- ings. This is just another example of sacrifices being made by the true and the faithful for Righteousness’ sake. Daily the followers are com- ing in, telling of having resigned from positions of long standing be- cause of the Security ‘Act, Compul- sory Insurance and so forth. FA- THER, Praise HIS HOLY NAME, is sufficient, however, as more and more HE is making provisions in The Prom- ised Land, for HIS children. It is indeed Wonderful! -, ,Many, other ‘beautiful testimonies, songs; tries; duets; filled withthe in- spiration and joy of The -SPIRIT of HIM WHO LIVETH FOREVER were heard. Cincinnati took steps to clean out its ];u.mping stations and start nor- mal suzpp‘ies of water’ flowing through mains again. Pollution of the drinking water constitutes one of the major menaces to be faced now. The flood crisis is just developing in the lower Mississippi Valley, from Cairo to the mouth of the Arkan-sals River. The water crest is sixty-one feet and? is exptected to ?reach-.- here by VVed.nes~day. A-rmy engineers ad- mitted today that the situation is serious but not helpless. More than one hundred and fifty thousand men are working tirelessly all along the river, strengthening the levees at weak spots. The particula-rly danger- ous zones were today regarded to be the sections of lower Kentucky and upper Tennessee. Drumming rains added a new menace, tonight to the flood area and increased the apprehension felt for the safety of the lower Mississippi Valley inhabitants. First the Oxford Group comes forth in full dress at a Banquet and Public ,Meeting at the Ambassador Hotel, fiThe Au-ditorium was packed, and the overflow was taken care of through a loudspeakenin the lobby of the Hotel which also was crowded. The Group is doing awonderful work with their four absolutes, “ab- » solute honesty, absolute purity, abso- lute se-lf-sacrifice and absolute love"? It was very interesting to listen to the testimonies of ministers, law-, yers, electricians, auto mechanics and people from all walks of life includ- ing hard headed business men who are finding that GOD will clea.r away the obstacles in business as well as elsewhere. It was quite remarkable to see all races turning to GOD in all of .their problems. Shortly after they ha-d gone come the “I AM” meetings which were held in the Shrine Auditorium and were packed for ten days, afternoons and evenings, bringing people from most every state in the Union. They are also doing a most remarkable Work. Next -come people from all over the States and Islands to attend a Convention given by Aimee MacPher- son at Angelus Temple, the first meet- ing being held in the Shrine Audi- torium__ - And now last but not at all least is the “World Fellowship of Faiths and Races” to be held in Los Angeles at the different churches and audi- toriums beginning January 26th, at the First Congregational Church, Hoover, Sixth and Commonwealth. The last is quite unique in that a Catholic, a Protestant, a Jewish Rab- bi, a Hindu, a Moslem, a Buddhist, a. Confucianist or a Shinto will be given an equal chance to discuss some subject such as War, Persecu- tion, Prejudice, P-overty-amids't-plen- ty, Nationalism, Ignorance, Hatred, Fear, etc. This will continue through the first five months of 1937. I presume that this will bring people from all states of the Union. This is all very interesting to me for the fact that our Dear FATHER, The “s1§oK,nN worm" ‘iHeaven- Is Like Unto-the Earth!” “THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN is, like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son_” Matt. 22:2. “The Kingdom of Heaven is likened ‘ unto a man which sowed good seed in his field.” Matt. 13:24. “The Kingdom of Heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field. . . _ The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the king- dom.” Matt. 13:38. “The Kingdom of Heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman hid. in 1 three measures of meal, t-ill the whole was leavened.” Matt, 13:33. “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is i like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, 7 hi-deth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth ALL THAT HE HATH, and buyeth that field.” Matt. 13:44. “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered , the good into vessels, but cast the V bad away.” Matt. 13:47-8, “Jesus said unto them, HAVE YE UNDERSTOOD A L L T H ES E - THINGS?
