The discussions about lifestyle. beha\ioral choices. standards. norms . and best ways to enjoy leisure are uplifting to the individual. Students can learn more about their options in real life. They can evaluate the different variables in behavior and make choices that will lead to lasting happiness. Members of local branches of ISLANDIA FREE U develop their awareness by participating in many informal social activities. dances. pot lucks. gestalt workshops.ficId trips to hot baths and other places. and athletic & cultural activities. While engaged in these recreational social activities there is an op- portunity to talk about the ideas in the books being read by participants. Each member of the course is active in helping to publicize the course through word of mouth advertising to friends and placement of notices on appropriate bulletin boards inviting others to join. Posters describing the course are available to students for posting. Students in any geographic area will be put in touch with other students who contact ISLANDIA FREE U headquarters.
