On back marked Allegan, Mich. I think this is a camping recreational excursion. Colony had no properties near Allegan and these do not look like preachers on the road.

PC#27 The bird house and original aviary built in 1905 (still stands 2011). Benjamin Purnell is to the left but the fiure in white nearby is NOT Mary. The structures to the right to house Australian birds and animals was removed by 1906 to build the original ice cream parlour that was later converted into a tailor’s shop by 1908; the structure no longer exists.
