Description: This is an unusual view looking west from the village of Amana. It was likely made around 1900. Visible is the low hedge of evergreens around the cemetery, the enormous kitchen garden, and in almost the center of the image, the last remaining conifer tree marking the location of Joseph Prestele's (1797-1867) botanical specimen garden.

It is printed on a heavy commercial paper, and bordered with a photograph of clover, potentially a photogravure. The top corner of this border is missing. The image itself is very nice and is approx. 5 X 8.
